Vintage hand-held dexterity game from The Lone Ranger Series, No. 3, titled "Guarding Mail Train." Lithographed cardboard construction features colorful scene of the Lone Ranger in red shirt mounted on white horse protecting a mail train. Game surface shows train cars including mail car numbered 1095, with "MAIL" building visible. Two yellow circular target discs with center divots are positioned on the playing field. Players tilt the box to roll two small metal balls into the divots to score. Game is covered with glass or clear celluloid panel and framed with blue and white checkered paper border. Copyright T.L.R. Inc. visible on bottom edge. Licensed character merchandise from the golden age of The Lone Ranger radio and television era. Game shows wear consistent with age and play including surface fading, corner wear to checkered border, and general soiling. Metal balls present.
