Vintage hand-carved green serpentine stone sculpture depicting two warmly dressed figures wearing traditional parka-style coats, standing side by side on a stone base. Signed on the front “N. Natchik, Pt. Hope AK.” The stone shows a dark green coloration with partial translucence under light, typical of serpentine used in Alaskan and Arctic carvings. A small carved element resembling a bone barb is taped to the reverse, apparently intended to fit into the left figure’s hand and possibly broken.

Although some sources note that the name N. Natchik appears in secondary listings of Inuit artists, this attribution could not be verified in the Katilvik database or other authoritative references; therefore, the cultural origin remains unconfirmed. There is an abrasion to the chest area of the left figure, along with light surface wear, small scratches, and natural stone inclusions consistent with age and handling. The underside is inscribed “Edgar,” likely a prior owner’s name, and retains original felt pads on the base.
