The HNLMS Van Kinsbergen (1939) was a Dutch sloop that served with distinction during World War II. Stationed in the Caribbean at the outbreak of the war, the vessel was active in patrolling, escorting convoys, and intercepting enemy ships. In 1940 she famously captured the German blockade runner Henriette Schliemann and later assisted in the sinking of the German submarine U-523. After the war, the Van Kinsbergen continued in service until being decommissioned in the late 1950s.
