Vintage abstract woodcut titled “Landscape” by Rita Leff, signed in pencil by the artist along the lower margin. The composition is rendered in layered blocks of rich teal, olive, black, and ochre, carved in bold, angular forms characteristic of Leff’s mid-century modern style. Sweeping black gestures intersect with rounded, concentric cuts that evoke sun, water, and terrain, creating an energetic, almost rhythmic interpretation of a natural scene. Visible woodgrain and uneven inking emphasize the hand-carved, hand-printed nature of the piece.

Issued in 1962 by Collectors of American Art, Inc. as part of their annual Christmas distribution, which commissioned the full edition of one hundred impressions. The verso retains the original printed biography describing Leff’s training at the Art Students League and the Brooklyn Museum, her study with Louis Shanker, Abraham Rattner, and Adja Yunkers, and her extensive exhibition history at major American museums and international venues in Paris, Brussels, and Japan.

Presented in a modern frame with green matting. Light wear consistent with age and display.
