Here is a beautiful antique oil on canvas painting of a goddess with wheat and flowers in her blonde hair. Pencil writing on the back of the wood canvas stretcher reads, "Mrs. D. White painted this picture, York Pt PEI," indicating it was pointed at York Point on Prince Edward Island off of the coast of Canada's provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Further writing on the wood of the canvas stretcher reads "Over hundred years old." The stretcher also has four brackets with listed patented dates of 1883 and 1885. The canvas is attached to the stretcher with tacks. The painting is in good condition with minor staining and other mild signs of wear. There is a chip in the paint and wear on the canvas to the right of the subject's forehead, which you can see in the photographs. This painting measures 14" x 21".
