This outstanding antique black bear taxidermy mount is stunningly mounted on a wooden shield with the bear's four paws. Its snarling grin accompanies glass eyes and set back ears for a menacing look. The mount is in wonderful condition for its age with very few signs of wear and tear. There is some wear around the nose and mouth, which can be viewed in the photographs. The shield has some staining on it and a chip on the top right side. The back has a convenient hanger for a screw or nail.
The shield measures 21 inches across by 28 inches high. The bear head protrudes 17 inches from the shield.
