This stein depicting an innocent deer galloping through the forest is more than meets the eyes! When held up to a back light and looked through, the viewer will be surprised by a raunchy image at the bottom of the mug featuring a naked lady with her legs seductively dangling in the air! This is called a lithophane, a small etched image on thin translucent porcelain. This lovely example was produced Gerold-Porzellan of Bavaria and was Made in Germany. It is in great condition, but does show minor signs of use and wear consistent with age.
