This vintage metal lunchbox features beautiful retro futuristic images of space travel and astronauts, with rockets, space stations, satellites and more! It was produced by American Thermos Products in the 1950s. The art may be inspired by the 1955 Wernher von Braun film "The Challenge of Outer Space." This lunchbox does not include a vacuum flask (aka Thermos).
The lunchbox is in excellent condition with minor signs of use and wear including some color loss around the edges. An embossed blue label with the original owner's name is attached to the top. It could be carefully removed, but I am leaving it as is to avoid damaging the item. Please see the photographs for the most complete description of this item.
