Two framed woven textile prints depicting Betsy Ross sewing the first United States flag, each rendered in sepia tones with selective color on the flag. Both scenes feature Ross seated on a porch beside a spinning wheel, with a white cat at her feet and the colonial flag prominently displayed. Both prints bear the caption “BETSY ROSS MAKING THE FIRST UNITED STATES FLAG” with woven imprint “ANDERSON BROS. PATERSON, N.J.” Both are housed in period frames, one with red matting and plain black frame, reverse paper backing retains original framer's label: “DE KISS, 876 Lancaster Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA.” The other frame has scroll motif around the edge. Age related wear to both frames.
