I think this is a really cool piece of Massachusetts history. This antique round thermometer features a brass housing painted a wonderful green color. The thermometer face identifies it as being in commemoration of the Massachusetts Bay Colony tercentenary, the colony having been produced in 1630, dating this thermometer to 1930. The face of the thermometer has a great image of Salem, Massachusetts' famous "Old Witch House," once the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin. The back of the thermometer has a sharp pin for easy hanging and display.

This thermometer is in great antique condition and seems to function normally. The paint has chipped away in several places around the housing, letting some of the brass shine through.

This item measures 2.5" L x 1" W x 2.5" H.
