Louis Pasteur Heavy Green Bust Sculpture, Doris Appel
Louis Pasteur Heavy Green Bust Sculpture, Doris Appel
This heavy green bust of famed biologist Louis Pasteur (1822-1895) was originally sculpted by Boston based medical historian and artist Doris Appel. The bust appears to be made of a chalkware or ceramic, or perhaps a dense, heavy resin. A plastic label on the bottom reads "Doris Appel Medical Sculpture, Lynn, Massachusetts, Copyright." A date is listed after the copyright but is worn away. The sculpture is in good condition with no signs of breakage.
The bust measures 5.5" L x 5" W x 10" H
