Halt the Hun! U.S. War Bonds World War I Framed Lithograph Propaganda Poster - 21.25 x 30.5"
Here is a fantastic World War One propaganda poster. The poster reads, "Halt the Hun! Buy U.S. Government Bonds, Third Liberty Loan." This poster came from an estate with a large collection of period propaganda posters and other advertisements out of Rhode Island. The poster was printed by Edwards & Deutsch Litho Company out of Chicago and is so signed in the lower right corner. The lower left corner has the number 4-A. The poster features a US soldier warding off a German soldier who is assauling a woman and her child. It bears the lithographed signature of artist Henry Raleigh. The poster is in good condition but does show some signs of wear in the form of color loss, worn corners, a couple tape marks, and some chipping. It is nicely framed in a contemporary frame. The frame measures 21.25 x 30.5".
