H.C. White Company Stereoscope 3D Stereo Card Viewer, Made in USA, 1903
Here is a great stereoscope used to view stereoscopic 3D cards that were popular at the turn of the century. This one was manufactured by H.C. White Company out of North Bennington, Vermont and has a listed patent date of 1903. This stereoscope is in perfect working order and operates great, with minor signs of wear from normal use and handling. There would initially have been a piece of felt lining the edge of the viewfinder, but that felt is missing. Additionally, two nails attaching the bottom of the hood to the device are missing, but the stereoscope is very sturdy and ready to use. Please see the photographs for these details. The top of this stereoscope features an intricate etched design.
The photographed stereo card is not included with this item. However, many stereo cards are available for purchase from Memory Hole Vintage.
