The box is in lovely condition and features a decorative cherub and floral motif on the top, along with the engraved initials RMJ in beautiful script writing. The box is lined on the insider with soft red velvet to protect and cushion your valuables. The lining is in good condition, though it is very slightly separated along portions of the edge. The box is in good condition with tarnishing and patina typical of antique silver plated items. The box has a keyhole, which is unlocked, but does not include a key. The hinged lid is very sturdy.
