Chinese Execution Photo #3 - Prisoner About to Be Beheaded

This gruesome item is sold as a relic of history that depicts an example of the brutality of crime and punishment in the early 20th century. Though they are long gone, no disrespect is intended toward the victims depicted in the photographs.

This photograph depicts an executioner about to deliver the killing blow to a blindfolded prisoner. The front of the photograph has the text "It must come off in one stroke," while a handwritten note on the back reads "The arm is strong and the knife is strong."

The photographs in this collection show varying degree of wear including creases, tares, and bent corners, though they are all complete and in good condition considering their age.
