CGC Tennis Family Mixed Doubles Winner's Trophy, 1936
This is a charming little antique trophy awarded to M.H. Bemis and F.G. Bemis in 1936, winners of the tennis family mixed doubles at CGC, which may stand for Castine Golf Club, a private club in Maine. The trophy is a small pewter trinket box with a hinged lid that is engraved on top. The bottom is marked with a hallmark (see pictures) and says "Trade Mark, Pewter by Poole, Taunton, Mass, CB3." The box has a nice patina and is in good condition.
