Battle of Manila Bay Lithograph Print, Spanish-American War by F. Fetherston - 19.5" x 13.75"
Here is an amazing historical print of the Battle of Manila Bay, also known as the Battle of Cavite, which took place on May 1, 1898 during the Spanish-American War. This full color print depicts the great battle raging, and features a portrait of Rear Admiral George Dewey (other sources rank him as Commodore). A printed signature in the lower left corner of the image is that of artist F. Fetherston, who painted this the same year of the battle, 1898. The lower right corner reads, "Copyright 1898 by M.F. Tobin, U.S.V. Navy, New York." This print comes in an ornate gilt wooden frame with a nice floral design. Please note that the actual print is placed on backing paper. The backing paper has some water damage on the lower third of the paper, which you can see in the photos, but this water damage does not extend onto the actual print, which is in great condition.
Dimensions: 19.5" x 13.75"
