This is a wanted poster with two photographs showing different views, issued by the Office of Chief of Police, Oakland, California. Circular No. 411, dated Oakland, California, November 17, 1919, wanted for felony embezzlement. The poster notes the picture at the left side is the best likeness, the one on the right side having been taken in a crouching position from an auto express delivery cab. Physical description: Ralph Remington, age 35 years, height five feet eight inches, weight 160 lbs., light complexion, brown hair, partially bald, occupation truck driver and teamster. Text states he collected and embezzled money belonging to the Peoples Express Co., this city. Felony warrant issued, arrest, hold and wire. Signed J.F. Lynch, Chief of Police. Poster bears received stamp from Chief of Police, November 21, 1919, referred to Captain Matheson. Poster shows age toning, creasing, edge wear, and handling marks consistent with age and use.
