Antique travel scrapbook with light beige cloth covers featuring decorative black border frames. Front cover has pasted clipping reading "He that loveth a book will never want a faithful friend, a cheerful companion, an effective comforter. Isaac Barrows." Spine is hand-inscribed "1911 Holy Lands and 1912 Algeria Riviera by Motor." Contains ephemera from the Mediterranean, Egypt, Holy Lands, Algeria, and Germany including maps, chromolithograph postcards, and clippings. Features three pages of herbarium specimens plus additional pressed flowers and leaves throughout. Full-spread herbarium page is in poor condition with at least half the samples detached from the page, squashed at the binding, and broken. Overall scrapbook exhibits light cover soiling and minimal wear with binding intact.
