An antique motorman hat from the Orange County Traction Company featuring a black fabric crown with grosgrain ribbon trim and a leather brim. The front of the hat bears a leather badge reading "Motorman" with the number "18" in metal numbers and "Orange County Traction Company" below. The hat features brass eagle motif buttons on either side of the badge. The Orange County Traction Company operated trolley service in the Newburgh, New York, area in the early twentieth century.
