Here is a very nice antique square glass ink well with beveled corners and top edges. It is marked Jacobus Inkstand Patented, and similar ones online appear to date to the early 20th century. The inkwell features a brass top lid with a small sliding door that is opened to access the ink. The lid has a glass insert to guide the pen down into the ink. The brass of the lid does have some small cracks along the threaded edges, but it holds onto the inkwell securely. The glass itself is in very nice condition with no chips.
