Antique Italian picture postcard depicting the interior of the Capuchin Crypt (Sepolcreto dei Cappuccini) beneath the Church of Santa Maria della Concezione in Rome. The image shows one of the bone-decorated chapels, with walls and architectural elements arranged using human skulls and skeletal remains of Capuchin friars, a practice dating from the 17th century and intended as a meditation on mortality.

The card is printed with the caption “ROMA – Chiesa di S. Maria – Sepolcreto dei Cappuccini” and features an Italian postal back marked “Cartolina Postale Italiana (Carte Postale d’Italie).” Undivided back format, unused, with no writing or postal markings.

Condition shows light age toning and minor surface wear consistent with age and handling.
