An antique hand colored caricature print titled "The Coblers Cure for a Scolding Wife," by Thomas Rowlandson, published by Thomas Tegg. The print is believed to be from "Tegg's Complete Collection of Caricatures, Relative to Mrs. Clarke and the Circumstances Arising from the Investigation of the Conduct of His Royal Highness the Duke of York Before the House of Commons." The image depicts a satirical domestic scene with three figures in period dress. The print is presented with a wide mat in a modern black frame. The frame is missing its glass, and the print exhibits surface wear and abrasions consistent with age and from being stored without glass. A label on the verso reads "Merwin's Art Shop, York St., New Haven, Conn., Pictures, Etchings, Framing." Offered framed as shown.
