Antique Hand Carved & Painted Bearded Man Odd Fellows Parade Mask
This beautiful oddity is packed with charm. It is a hand carved and hand painted parade mask of some sort, that reminds me of similar masks I have seen pertaining to the Odd Fellows fraternal organization. Others have suggested that it could be of European or South American origin. Regardless, its a beautiful thing and packed with character and charm. There is significant paint shipping and wear throughout consistent with age and use, especially on the tip of the nose. There is a rope on the back to hold it on someone's head as well as small eye slits in the mask to see through.
The mask measures 29 inches tall and 11 inches across.
