Antique Halloween postcard illustrated with two black cats singing beneath the verse, “May the night be full of melody for you this Hallowe’en,” with a quiet countryside and full moon above. Marked Series 863, published by F. A. Owen Co., Dansville, New York, and signed “M.H.S.” at lower right. Postmarked Chicago, Illinois, October 13, 1913, and addressed to Mrs. William Dickey, Mt. Morris, New York. Handwritten note on verso reads in part, “Dear Aunt Edith, wish we could see you before we go to Panama… hope you are better.” General wear and tear consistent with age and handling, including light corner wear, surface soiling, and mild toning. Each postcard includes a poly sleeve and rigid top loader.
