Antique embossed Halloween postcard titled “Jack O’Lanterns Making Raising Merry Cain,” depicting two boys hiding behind trees with carved pumpkins to startle a third boy under a full moon with an owl perched on a branch above. Marked “Made in Saxony” and numbered “0624” along the bottom edge. Postmarked Baltimore, Maryland, October 29, 1909, and addressed to Master Harry Gaunter, Marysville, Pennsylvania. Handwritten note on verso reads, “Melvin says he wishes he was up to go along for chestnuts. From Melvin.” General wear and tear consistent with age and handling, including mild creasing, light edge wear, and faint surface soiling. Each postcard includes a poly sleeve and rigid top loader.
