Antique wooden box constructed with exposed dovetail joinery on all four corners. The front features a brass ring pull with a scalloped escutcheon plate and a keyhole below. One side panel has a small rectangular metal plate, and the lid is attached with two brass hinges. A red fabric ribbon is affixed to the interior left side of the lid.

The interior is divided into two compartments by a wooden divider. The box is anecdotally attributed to a maker from Peterborough, New Hampshire, and includes a key. The exterior shows surface scratches, scuffs, and light wear to the finish, with a minor crack visible on the front panel.
