This antique fire helmet comes from the Aarhus, Denmark brandvæsen, or fire department in English. It is beautiful crafted with a black metal body and incredible brass and leather embellishments. On the interior cloth is written, "Rec'd April 25, 1955," leading me to believe that this helmet was issued to its user in 1955. A paper label on the inside further identifies it as belonging to the Aarhus fire department.
This helmet is in good condition, but does show signs of use including scratching, scuffing, and wear. The interior lining is in very good shape. Please see photographs for the most complete description!
