Antique convex porcelain sign reading “Entrée,” meaning “Entrance” in French, featuring bold black lettering on a white field bordered by a single black pinstripe. Though unmarked, the design and construction are consistent with the signed work in this week's auction by Édouard Busath of Brussels, Belgium, active 1898–1913, one of Belgium’s earliest and most prominent producers of enamel advertising signs. The sign includes left and right mounting holes. Displays normal wear and tear consistent with age, but appears unused.
