Antique colored photograph postcard titled “Do You Need Protection?” depicting pumpkinhead guards protecting their queen from the “funny-eared anarchist” in a staged cornfield scene. Copyright 1901 by Woodruff Ad House, Ravenna, Ohio, and produced as a “Phostint Card” by Detroit Publishing Co. Postmarked 1908 and addressed to Miss Tanner Lyder, Lisbon, Ohio, with handwritten note on verso reading, “We are spending the day in signal…” signed “Anna.” General wear and tear consistent with age and handling, including light edge and corner wear, mild toning, and faint surface scuffing. Each postcard includes a poly sleeve and rigid top loader.
