Antique albumen photograph depicting a studio group portrait of eleven Union cavalry soldiers and officers posed with sabers. The men are shown in uniform, arranged in seated and standing rows, with commissioned rank indicated by visible shoulder boards on at least one seated figure. Several of the sitters appear quite young, consistent with early-war volunteer service. The group is photographed in a formal studio setting and housed in its original oval wood frame with gilt liner and period mat.

The photograph exhibits a visible puncture to the image area at the upper right, along with additional minor surface marks, spotting, and age-related wear throughout. The frame shows expected handling wear and finish loss consistent with age. No photographer’s imprint or identifying inscriptions are present. Overall condition is consistent with Civil War–era albumen photographs that have been framed and displayed.
