Antique copy of "A Turkish Woman's European Impressions" by Zeyneb Hanoum, identified on the title page as the heroine of Pierre Loti's novel "Les Desenchantees" ("The Disenchanted"). Edited and with an introduction by Grace Ellison. The book contains 23 illustrations from photographs and a drawing by Auguste Rodin. Published by Seeley, Service & Co. Ltd., 38 Great Russell Street, London, 1913.

The red cloth binding features a gilt-stamped figure of a veiled woman on the front cover. The book retains its dust jacket, which repeats the veiled figure illustration in dark blue ink and carries a pasted review slip at the lower front panel with notices from the Manchester Guardian, Evening Standard, and The Sheffield Daily Independent. The rear of the dust jacket lists additional titles from Seeley, Service & Co. Ltd. Interior pages include photographic plates with printed captions.

The dust jacket shows overall soiling, edge wear, and toning. The cloth binding shows wear at the extremities with bumping at the corners. Interior pages are toned with occasional spotting.
