Here is an awesome antique curiosity! This is a hand made scrapbook box. This lovely antique features a black painted finger jointed wooden box with two wire knobs that are attached to a piece of cloth inside the box. When they knobs are turned, the cloth, which is attached to two wooden cylinders, advances across the opening of the box. There are various scrapbook clippings such as trade cards and other images attached to the cloth that scroll by as the knobs are rotated. There are eleven total clippings in the box. Please note that one of these images has a racist caricature of black children, which is quite offensive.
