This antique vargueno desk has a hinged lid and drop front which opens to a fitted interior with multiple small drawers and storage compartments. It is lavishly carved throughout, featuring numerous greenman-esque motifs, as well as two knights in profile. This piece is composed of the bottom base, and upper chest, which come apart for easy transportation. The upper chest features forged hardware including a lock and one hand on each side. The original key is included with purchase, and the lock is in functioning condition.
Note general wear and tear, scuffing, throughout. Stress crack and small loss on left side. Wear and discoloration, small cracking in desk top.
