Here is a beautiful hand made painting of hickory buds painted in 1873 by David Clarkson East. This delicate painting is housed a in a gold colored frame. The painting is titled "HICKORY BUDS, As Developed, May 17th. 1873." A tag on the back of the painting reads, "This picture was done by your great grand-father, David Clarkson East, Born February 27, 1833." The painting is in lovely condition, though the paper is slightly wrinkled in the frame, and there appears to be an old tare in the paper toward the top middle that was repaired many, many years ago. The frame has a wire on the back for easy hanging. This one of a kind painting is in a frame that measures 10.25" x 8.25".
