Here is a beautiful antique funeral cross from the burial ceremony of Alphonsine Tardif. Alphonsine was born November 6, 1866, died October 8, 1947, and was buried October 11, 1947. This information is written on a piece of tape on the back of the crucifix. The cross has two mounting holes that would have been used to display it at the funeral or on a memorial or casket. It shows normal wear and patina consistent with age and handling.
