Bone China King George VI Coronation Commemorative Dish by Shelley, England, 1937
Here is a lovely bone china dish commemorating the "Coronation of H.M. King George VI & H.M. Queen Elizabeth" on the 12th of May, 1937. The dish bears decorations in England's colors along with an image of the couple. Latin phrases also adorn the dish. The back is marked "Shelley England" along with the number Rd272101. A hand painted mark appears to read "520#." The dish is in good condition, though it could use a thorough cleaning. It has a large chip on the underside on the left, as well as a minor chip on the underside on the right. The only visible chip is a small one on the lower right hand corner. I will do my best to photograph these imperfections accurately.
