Here is a stunning antique solid sterling silver cigarette case manufactured by the renowned Boston-based maker of luxury goods and jewelry, Shreve, Crump, and Low, Co.This lovely cigarette case weighs 5.1 troy ounces and bares the name Shreve, Crump, and Low Co. on an interior lip, along with the mark STERLING, three small hallmarks, and the mark 15RT. The case features a spring loaded hinge that is released by a push button. It also has a spring loaded holder on the inside of the case to keep cigarettes in place. The springs are operating nicely. The face of the case bears the monogram HDJ. The case is in good condition, but does have tarnishing and scuffing typical of antique sterling silver, but has no major imperfections that can't be restored. This case can accommodate cigarettes just over 2.75" in length, and can also be used to carry other items such as bills and cards.
