1940s Post-WWII Casige Red Tin Toy Sewing Machine, Made in Germany, British Zone
Here is an excellent tin toy sewing machine in a red color manufactured by renowned German toy maker Casige in the post-WWII era. The sewing machine is marked "Made In Germany, British Zone," indicating a manufacture during the occupation of Germany by allied forces following the war, from 1945 to 1949. The sewing machine is also marked Gesch. M 1470. It cranks as it should, but has not been fully tested. It is being sold as a collector's item. All parts appear to be present, but there may be parts missing. Please see the photos for a complete look at the machine as it sits. There is some surface rust on the chrome parts of the machine.
