Sepia-toned photographic print mounted on board, housed in a decorative marbled frame with beige mat. The image shows a multi-story wooden building with horizontal siding and shuttered windows. A sign affixed to the façade reads “Alexstrom Skräddare” (Swedish for Alexstrom Tailor). Several figures are visible standing by the building behind a fence. The reverse of the frame bears handwritten inscriptions identifying parents Brita and Axel Bystrom and noting “First Home in America – Greenwood St. Next to Lutheran Church, 2nd Floor Front,” dated 1896. Additional notes reference children Inga (age 7) and Ake (age 3).
