Antique boarded photograph showing two workers standing beside a large mechanical hammer apparatus positioned inside an unfinished exhibition building. The handwritten note on the reverse explains that the machine belonged to the C.L.M. Co. and was placed on top of the exhibition building containing the display of Coldwell Mowers at the World’s Fair at Jamestown, Virginia. The note states that the hammer was arranged to start the machinery in the building below when the power was turned on. Additional names appear at the bottom of the inscription. Clear period industrial detail; mounted to board with edge wear.
